Knock in short

Knock is a notification platform routing email, SMS, and push through one API. It simplifies multi-channel sending, with cost tracking to your actual channel mix.

Verdict: Knock unifies multi-channel notifications behind one API, though per-channel pricing requires planning at volume.

Pros

  • One API across email, SMS, push, and more
  • Routing and preference management
  • Event-driven, developer-friendly

Cons

  • Pricing per channel adds up
  • Cheaper channels vary in quality
  • Setup for all channels can be involved
  • Overkill if you only send one channel
  • Reviewers recommend avoiding it
  • Bad experiences reported by users
