…Alternatively, use an SMTP relay that handles reputation managed for your outbound. For personal use volume, its free. SMTP2GO is a good one to recommend solving that big complaint you…
I very well could be chasing ghosts, but I can confirm sending from Postmark, SES, or SMTP2GO to a client who uses Avanan generates a DMARC failure report. Hypothetically, if I sent to a non-client who used Avanan, I would receive the same DMARC failure report, and I have no control over their…
…Are you getting these errors for existing devices randomly or is it only when you set up a new device to work with smtp2go? I have a theory that smtp2go sends emails from new devices through low reputation IPs in case they are spam or something, even if the SMTP user isn't…
…IP range. longer term, moving to authenticated SMTP submission or an external relay like you're already planning with SMTP2GO is probably the right call. microsoft has been slowly making unauthenticated relay harder to use for a while now, and i wouldn't be surprised if this is another step in…
It's cheap, but it hasn't been easy. Maybe we aren't the norm, but we are moving our SMTP to smtp2go before our on-prem Exchange migration. We find found smtp auth to be broken on legacy stuff. Hopefully vendors will help with that. Stumped on Xerox copiers. They will send test messages, then scans…
…works properly when From is on your domain. that's the right answer for any production scan-to-email. on free gmail, smtp2go or mailgun is a cleaner fit than gmail itself. file transfer settings on the ricoh are for SMB/FTP scan destinations, separate from scan-to-email. ignore them unless you…
…is to skip running your own cold IP/domain and use a reputable external SMTP provider instead (like Mailtrap, SMTP2Go, or Postmark). These services already have warmed-up IP pools and solid deliverability, so you avoid the nightmare of blacklisting while still being able to send volume…
…> > Updated firmware to latest versions > Tried using different SMTP accounts, one with Mimecast, the other with SMTP2GO > Tried mirroring the settings from a known working copier > Turned off old versions of TLS > Disabled POP > Set Google and Cloudflare as primary/secondary DNS settings on…
…broke it, but with a bit of tweaking it is working again. So I am good for probably another 5 years, Will go with SMTP2GO after that, unless I can in-place upgrade again and get it going on Server…
It's pushed so hard because it's one of the cheaper options that just simply works. But a simple Google search for SMTP relay service will get you plenty of other options and opinions to meet your requirements, and to reinforce why smtp2go is constantly recommended.
SMTP2GO is the easy solution, if sending off mail/scans to a 3rd party service is a no go, then something like PostFix with the oAuth2 setup will work. https://github.com/tarickb/sasl-xoauth2
…and many have given us issues over the years (goddamn mailgun). Some have minimums for account size or message amount. SMTP2GO just seems to have been one that people like and it caught on, like any other fad or preferred vendor. But again, i only answered why people weren't using HVE, not "why is…
…2) You can semi-host your outbound mail if you don't send directly from your hosted instance. My local Postfix uses Smtp2Go to relay outbound mail with no problems so far (using dmarc, dkim, etc). They even have a free tier. Of course there are many other relay providers for you to…
SMTP2GO will solve your issues. We switched to them and have all our printers, mailers and other devices on them. It’s great. Super easy to set up and you get full on dashboard where you can see all of the emails being sent out and if there’s any bounce backs, etc. they also take a proactive…
The mail isn't sent from our 365 tenant, it comes from an external partner application. I am going to enquire about the possibility of an authenticated mailbox with them, but if that's not possible I am interested in SMTP relay recommendations/experience with SMTP2Go.
…use hve. Also, hve is very recent, like just out of preview. This has been something msps have solved with things like smtp2go for free or cheap for years now. Thats why people are recommending smtp2go, which scales from a 2 person tenant to 2000. I dont know why people are confused how people…
I’ve since reverted my changes. I had not heard of smtp2go and will be trying that. I’ll delete this post once I get to work in a bit. Thank you to those who were more tactful in their responses. I’m learning here people. Goodness I hope some of you don’t talk to your coworkers or those you manage…
sending smtp alerts using basic authentication hve
I started using SMTP2GO for my clients for their aio printers/scanners, as using a Microsoft 365 Exchange account directly was getting such a problem since basic authentication has been disabled. Works great, and is super easy to set up.
we’ve used Brevo SMTP for clients who just need reliable scan‑to-email or notification sends. The setup is simple: add DNS records, enable SMTP, and configure the device. It’s not purpose-built for MSPs like SMTP2GO’s subaccounts, but you can at least get separate credentials/logins
Currently a pretty happy camper on FastMail with my own domains. For selfhosted I probably wouldn't bother with dealing with sending myself and use a SMTP relay (MXroute, SMTP2Go, Amazon SES, etc) if being certain emails will arrive is critical for you
I’ve recently changed my mind. While resend is really easy to use nodemailer with an smtp server like smtp2go is just as easy and not getting locked into another vendor
Yahoo is throttling your emails because shared hosting IPs can get flagged. Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and use a dedicated SMTP service like SMTP2GO or SendGrid for reliable delivery, don’t rely on shared hosting for outgoing mail.
