SocketLabs is rated "Bad" with 1.5 / 5 on Trustpilot
Until an hour ago i’d have given SocketLabs 5 stars.
However they have suspended our server for high spam content, when the same email has been sent out over the past 2weeks 7,000 times.
They have also suspended over the weekend when no support is on until Monday afternoon as they are an American company.
No weekend support despite their website stating 24/7 support.

Probably worse service.
They offer fake 40,000 free trial.
After "sending" 4000 emails I downloaded csv with all sent emails.
From that csv I realize that they sent only 158!
Rest were duplicates.
After I downloaded that file they just close my account without valid reason!!
Avoid this is SCAM!
On top of that when account is close all links are broken after.
So all my subscribers got email with all broken links now!
I've been using it for years (due to the cost) and the only positive thing – some would say the most important – is the deliverability.
Furthermore, performance has declined alarmingly, navigating within the application is a nightmare due to slowness, sessions are very short and interrupt when editing emails, leading to loss of huge amount of work, the UI/UX is horrible.
I have been using Socket Labs for transactional email about a year now and email delivery has significantly improved.
Only hotmail still seems to be a problem, but that may be due to my DMARC settings.
And the best news: it is completely free, while still having a fully functional dashboard :-) Socketlabs is maybe not as popular as other transactional mail providers, but I am very pleased with them.
The only reason that I don't give it 5 stars is that email batches of more than 100 emails are being delayed up to a couple of hours.

We wanted to give socketlabs a test as it seemed to be a promising SMTP Gateway.
However after a test period of 1 month ...

The domain/store we used this one was first working great.
Suddenly after a couple days it stopped working our transactional emails just weren't delivered anymore.
We found out there is a queue of emails...
means the emails were stuck at socketlabs.
The emails were released from the queue very slowly.
Like emails took about a day to be delivered ...
on a small amount of emails send.
In total we had send over the many days about 800 Transactional emails.
Unfortunately a form spam bot hit us as well and created profiles with fake emails addresses.
9 of these emails were marked as spam.
That resulted in a bad reputation at SL.
We did not see the complaints as socketlab only gives 10 days of data at our account level.
So only contacting support we found out why our emails got stuck.

Now socketlabs replies that in their legal sense of GDPR we have no issue with 3rd party captchas and if we do not apply it to the form they will cancel our account.
They totally ignored the fact that we turned emails off for the form in question and make the whole account only dependent on this very form although there is other forms as well and other websites etc.
So from the 25K emails that we can send each month ...
after 800 emails we already get issues with them we never experienced with anyone else.
The terms of them are nuts.
The metrics are not transparent.
Every little additional things costs money.
The customer support tries to help but does not understand and seems highly flexible.
NO DEAL.
I will ask for a refund.

Poor Customer Service
Tried to connect to a .co email but was not allowed to proceed.
The best part was that when I tried to contact customer service, there was no response for more than a month, even after several followup emails.
I won't recommend this deal.

Socketlabs firstly helped me in taking the trouble of consolidating my 2 accounts into a single account.
Then i am seeing Socketlab as my high school teacher, which simply suspended me for filling the questionnaire incorrectly.
Of the 2-3 listed methods of email collection method, seems socketlabs don't like 1 method maybe.

They suspended my account claiming I didn't verify it.
I missed the email they sent with the verification notice and they are unwilling to resolve it.
If you don't verify in their expected time period, your account gets terminated, and, as far as that is concerned, that's that.
I can't tell you if their product works, or not, but it is clear their support is customer unfriendly.
