Although 123-reg was not listed in their set-up guide, it was still reasonably easy to follow their instructions and configure the 123-reg DNS entries to use the Forward Email.
The initial sign-up process with Forward Email was a bit slow (they send an email with a verification code to your designated email address), once verified, the process was quick, they tested and confirmed the configuration changes were correct and I immediately started receiving my emails again.

They have very bad customer service.
Because they are angry for some reason I don't know they canceled a service I was subscribed to without any warning or warning message.
(outbound SMTP)
They also do not respond to messages until after several days.
They also have hidden terms and services that are not what they say in their documentation.
...
This is the act of scammers, not the act of a respectable company.

Unfortunately, when I tried to sign up for an account, Forwardemail.net never sent me the validation link to activate my account.

## Immediate ban after requesting SMTP
Domain was fine for months, suddenly a problem.
...
I used ForwardEmail as a paid forwarding/SMTP router for a low volume of transactional emails.
One of my domains had been configured there as a catch-all for several months without any issues – no spam, no abuse, no warnings.
The problem started only when I requested manual approval for outbound SMTP (which they explicitly say is reviewed by an admin).
Instead of a normal “yes/no” answer, I was effectively banned on the spot, with the explanation that my domain name was “too similar” to theirs.

After reviewing your request for SMTP access, our abuse prevention team communicated the account ban due to your use of a domain like forwardemail.pro (similar to our forwardemail.net), which violates our Terms of Service on impersonation to prevent potential phishing or spoofing, and we promptly issued a full refund.

## It's not great
I've used the service for a couple of months now for a private domain and a non-profit domain.
My experience with the customer service is mixed.
One time, I got a swift response, but yesterday after they blocked one of my aliases I got no response at all after 20 hours.
I get a lot of spam in my mailbox, sometimes dozens per day.
When I look at the stats over the past week it shows 5 blocked emails, and over 50 spam mails got through.
Not impressed.
Marking them as spam doesn't seem to improve the filters.
The webmail client is sup-par.
When I select multiple emails to mark as read, sometimes emails that I didn't select also get read.
And when I move 5 emails, it takes a long time.

We had been having issues with our email aliases and forwarding.

We are so grateful for their team helping us work through the problem.
It ended up being a small error in some code, and once it was identified and fixed, we were back in business!

I ran my own mail server to forward email since I bought a domain until 2023.
Since then I've been a happy Forward Email customer without any noticeable issues.
